Bruce and Gaston, two WBD team members, were recently recognized by a retired boat businessman for their outstanding service and representation. John Daigle of AfterMath said, 
“They say one never gets a second chance to make a good first impression. All too often, it is the person answering the phone that conveys the first impression of an organization.
I am a live aboard cruiser that began experiencing a transmission leak and possible diesel problem while trying to get to Florida. Jarrett Bay was full and had no slips available. I called Western Branch Diesel on a Friday and was warmly greeted by Pollyanna who treated me like a friend. I explained the situation, but instead of passing me off to someone else, she took control. She told me that when I arrive in Beaufort on Sunday to stay at the Municipal Marina and she would have someone meet with us early Monday afternoon. We spoke again Monday morning and she was still on top of things, saying I would be visited early afternoon.
At 1 PM, Bruce and Gaston arrived. They were understanding of my concerns and aware the boat would be hauled in Jacksonville, FL for bottom painting and other maintenance. After a quick assessment, they determined that the engine oil leak was from the valve cover. They were confident the transmission would be fine for the trip to Fl if I continued to be vigilant about replacing the fluid loss and perhaps replacing the transmission fluid with 30 weight oil. Bruce and Gaston were knowledgeable, personable, professional and demonstrated customer empathy.
Having just retired from 12 years in the boat business, my impression is that you have a first class company comprised of well trained, wonderful people that made for a very positive service experience. My only regret is that you do not have a location in Florida.”
